End of Season Gala - tickets now available including All Day Rovers

22nd Oct - 24th Oct 2021

Our End of Season Gala 2021 will be the perfect ending to our operating season with a mix of different trains on the railway!

Friday 22nd will see Class 03 D2128 Class 08 D4095 in service. There will be passenger and freight trains running on this day whilst both steam locos are prepped in the yard ready for the weekend. You will be welcome to visit the yard to look around the locos if there is a member of staff present. Our station shop and buffet will also be open during the day.

Saturday 23rd and 24th will see a variety of different things, 7109 Joyce will be shunting in the yard from 11:00 until 13:00 whilst passenger trains are also running. Once Joyce has finished shunting, a few demonstration freight trains will also be running on the up line only and these will not be for passengers. Passenger train starts running from 10:00 and these will be hauled by all locos throughout the day, class 08 D4095 will remain on the Radstock end of the train all day. Make sure you book your tickets in advance to avoid missing out on this event and one of the last galas of the year!

There are 2 ticket options - you can either purchase an individual adult or child (aged 4-16) All Day Rover which gives you the opportunity to ride on any or all of the trains throughout the day using the same ticket. Alternatively you can book a compartment on a particular train and here the price covers up to 4 people (you can add extra seats up to a maximum of 8 in the compartment if you wish). Children aged 3 and under travel free. The ticketing system will take you through the steps including adding optional extra seats if required.

Face coverings must be worn on the train as per government instructions for public transport. The exception to this requirement is if you have booked a compartment.  Whilst in your compartment your face covering can be removed.

There is limited space in our 1950s style carriages so we ask that, where possible, pushchairs are not carried onto the train but left under the platform shelter where they will be safe.

Please contact [email protected] if you have any questions.
