The station area siteplan is shown above with two viewpoints shown in the two circular photos. On arrival at the station, your first view is of the old station building in front of you with the goods shed off to the side but turn to the left and walk up past garden areas to the Museum in the old stables and you will be surprised at the wealth of train and world war exhibits. Further up the slope is one of the smallest museums in the country in the old Pill box. On your return downhill, pause to enter the buffet coach for a tea break or lunch.

Back to the station building you turn to your right to access the down platform with a display astronomical garden over the fence exactly as it used to be. Train ride tickets are now available from the ticket window while further on you can enter the shop with lots of gifts and books to see and buy. Walking over to the up platform the fully restored greenhouse and signal box can be seen at the end of the platform and beyond that is another attractive garden area before the viewing platform.

The direction of car parks is also indicated, the nearest being at Norton Hill School on Charlton Road. Midsomer Norton town centre is approximately half a mile downhill from the station station entrance.

There is also a conservation area of woodland adjacent to the station, where the public footpaths (brown and green) are indicated on the left-hand side of the plan, accessible by walking down the hill from the station entrance, on the same side of the road and taking the footpath entrance, first on the left.
