The 2026 season starts on Easter Sunday 5th April, when the trains start running again.
This year, there is a wide variety of experiences on offer, from family days to enthusiasts events. The season kicks off with Easter at the Station on both Easter Sunday 5th April and Easter Monday 6th April. There will be an Easter Hunt for the children and there might even be a visit from the Easter Bunny. Our popular Cream Teas will be available from the RMB Buffet (Booking advised) along with a range of light refreshments.
Locals Day on Sunday 12th Apil is your chance to experience the station and eveything there is to offer for a bargain price. For one day only, you can ride the trains as many times as you like (subject to space), visit the signal box, museum and WW2 pillbox, all for half price. Come along and find out what we have to offer.
The month of May sees two new events for the railway. The first bank holiday weekend (3rd & 4th May) is when we turn the clock back to the 1940's. With displays and re-enactors you can experience the Home Front duing World War 2. Later in May, on Sunday 24th the station is going back even further in time - as far as prehistoric times, with a visit from some baby dinosaurs.
Other events planned this year include a repeat of our popular Midsomer Summer event - a family fun day with train rides, side shows, music and more. The autumn will be busy with a Heritage Day and Gala in September and then we close the season with the return of our Halloween and Santa trains.
