Busy Weekend Ahead for the Bank Holiday

Although the weather is looking a bit dreary, we are  hoping for a busy weekend for this May Day Bank Holiday.  Sunday & Monday sees the 1940s weekend taking place.

Trains will be running from 10.30 each day with the last departure at 15.10.  Tickste are All day Rovers, so you can travel on as many trains as you like subject to space.

There will be vehicles, displays and re-enactors on both days together with some entertainment on the patio,.

On Sunday, a plaque will be unveiled in honour of the Midsomer Norton Home Guard, this takes place at 11.00am.  Col Stephen Kendall MBE will be unveiling the plaque and some of the Army Cadets will be in attendance.  Alan Readhead, who has done much research into the Midosmer Norton Home Guard will also be there and later will be giving a talk and signing his book.  These talks are at 2pm Sunday and 11.00am & 2.00pm Monday.

If you want to join in by dressing in the period, please fell free, but please note No Weapons of any sort must be brought along.  We look forward to seeing you there.
