The first event of the year was Easter at the Station, which was a great success, with plenty of visitors enjoying the sunshine on Easter Sunday. Unfortunately the weather wasn't quite as good for Easter Monday, but it was still a good day for enjoying the trains. The children enjoyed the Easter Hunt.
Our next event is the Spring Gala on Monday 26th May, when the home fleet will be in action running a half-hourly service. The DMU is scheduled to be in service, and alternatiing with the Mark 1 coaches top and tailed by the diesel shunters D4095 and D1120. The Wickham Trolley will also make an appearance for a limited number of runs.
Trains will run from the Down Platform, returning to th Up Platform. Thsi will give more interest in the station between services as trains are moved from th Up Platform to the Down Platform ready for the next service.
Tickets are All Day Rovers, allowing you to travel on as many trains as you like (subject to space). Adults only £12, and children (4-16) £6.
