Santa at the Station – 2026 Tickets on sale early September

As the nights grow colder and the lights begin to twinkle across Midsomer Norton, a whisper spreads along the old railway line: Santa is coming back to the station.

He’s been searching his enormous Christmas calendar for a little space - and this year, he’s found it. From Sunday 29th November, and then every Saturday and Sunday until Christmas, the station will once again transform into the Midsomer North Pole, where magic arrives not by sleigh… but by train.

Your adventure begins the moment you step onto the platform. The air carries the scent of winter, the lamps glow warmly, and festive decorations wrap the station in Christmas cheer. Soon, the guard’s whistle blows and you board one of our decorated Mark 1 coaches, ready for a gentle 20‑minute round trip behind one of our home fleet locomotives. Children press their noses to the windows; grown‑ups smile at the familiar rhythm of wheels on rails.

When the train returns, you arrive at the Midsomer North Pole platform, where Santa waits in his cosy grotto. Every child is welcomed in and receives a wrapped gift, chosen specially for them. A children’s entertainer keeps little one’s giggling, and the snow booth offers a flurry of fun for families wanting a magical Christmas photo.

Children will also receive a goody bag filled with festive treats and a drink, while adults can enjoy a standard drink and mince pies - a small seasonal indulgence to warm the hands and heart.

The buffet car, station shop, and Emporium will be open throughout the day, perfect for picking up refreshments or that last‑minute Christmas present you didn’t know you needed.

Santa Trains run on: 

Sunday 29th November, 5th & 6th December, 12th & 13th December, 19th & 20th December 

with five trains per day at: 09.30, 11.00, 12.30, 14.00, 15.30.

And so, as Christmas draws near, the railway prepares once more to welcome families, laughter, and the sparkle of Santa’s visit. The magic begins at the station — all you need to do is climb aboard.
