Heritage Railway Association Young Volunteer of the Year Award presented to Mike Abbott by Lord Faulkner on May 9th

Lord Faulkner came to site on Monday May 9th to present volunteer and Operations' Director Mike Abbott with his long delayed runners up certificate for Young Volunteer of the Year Award for 2021. A pleasant couple of hours was spent on site which included signal box, museum and pill box visits as well as discussions about future plans and ambitions for the railway at Midsomer Norton.  A ride up the line on the DMU was squeezed in as well!
