Here you will find details of specific vacancies that the Somerset & Dorset Heritage Railway is recruiting for.

We would like to invite volunteers to help in the following areas:

• Marketing of the railway and  promotion of events


• Participating in our Events Team and helping with the running of events
   
• Helping Maintain  the content of our Web Site and responding to new enquires submitted by visitors to our site - very much a role which can be run from home, wherever you live.
   
• Assisiting with the running of our small buffet car.  This role simply entails serving customers with in-cup hot drinks, canned and bottled drinks and pre-packed snacks.
  
  There is no food prepartion or washing up involved.  We would like to have a small team of volunteers  happy to come along for even a couple of hours on a Sunday when we are running trains.  Even if you only want to come along now and again that would be very welcome, so that the job does not constantly fall on the shoulders of one or two people.
  
  It is quite a fun place to be and will suit those who love chatting to customers
