On a railway theme, read all about Thomas the Tank Engine and his many adventures on the Island of Sodor, the world-famous range of children's storybooks written by the Reverend Wilbert Awdry featuring Thomas, Henry, Gordon, and all the other children's favourite railway engines. We have a small selection of the ever-popular Ivor the Engine Books and, for the older children The Peter’s Railway Books are charming and entertaining “How it Works” series.  These are ideal for those who are developing a real interest in trains and railways.

We also offer a range of books from Farmer Bryan who runs Longdown Activity Farm in The New Forest. These books feature the animals which live on the farm and even encourage an interest in farming or just keeping chickens at home
