Passengers return to Midsomer Norton Station for Grand Re-opening

Well, after the atrocious weather of the latter part of the week we were blessed with a great day on Saturday for the Grand Re-opening.  We welcomed happy groups of passengers back to our heritage railwaywith trains hauled by our resident steam locomotive Sentinel 7109 "Joyce" and Class 03 diesel D2128.  The museum was also re-opened for the first time since the commencement of the pandemic and it was wonderful to see people enjoying themselves around the site again.  On Sunday, identification of a steam leak on the Sentinel led to substitution by our 08 diesel. Despite this early morning setback we saw another great group of passengers enjoying the buffet and shop as well as the trains - although a little more windswept than on the previous day!
