Welcome home D1120!

On a rather damp January morning (Thursday 12th) English Electric locomotive D1120 returned home to the S&D at Midsomer Norton after an absence of just over 3 years. It has been to the works of Pete Briddon at Rowsley on Peak Rail for the fitting of train vacuum braking equipment. This enables the locomotive to be used to haul passenger trains which includes the Mark 1 carriages. The Trust is grateful to the generosity of a member who financially supported the project. Thanks are also extended to Pete and Andrew Briddon for their engineering expertise in designing and fitting the system.
